Riley's a pretty decent kid. He's grown up as a child of the Alliance, and has known equality most of his existence. He doesn't take abuse, and refuses to let it go unnoticed. Riley takes to grudges quickly and is hard-put to let them go, and holds in his nature a strong protective instinct. His father's strict upbringing has resulted in Riley being a fairly relaxed boy, with an appreciation for discipline.
The death of his mother a few years ago hit deep with Riley, and even now he's still incredibly sensitive about it. His father, Gabriel's, ward (Danni) likes to use parental issues whenever they get into a fight, which is most of the time, and sometimes she just hits too far. Riley can say with absolute certainty that, even though Danysia is considered a member of his family, she is the only person he truly despises. Everyone else can see it, but he won't admit it; he sees her as his little sister, and even though he hates her entire person, he'd probably sacrifice himself to save her.
Riley's father is a major part of his life and has influenced a lot of what he believes in - like the cause of the Human-Vampire Alliance. Riley is constantly begging to be part of missions now - he's certainly old enough, or so he thinks. Gabriel refuses, but Riley can see that he's reluctantly starting to see how mature Riley has become since his mother passed away. Riley knows he can take care of himself, but he wants to be part of the group that takes care of other people, too.
