Background

Gabriel's family were quite religious, but not full-blown nutters. They went to church every Sunday and celebrated Christmas and Easter like any good Christian family. Gabriel never saw the point in having a proper religion, and his mother always called him lazy for not saying his prayers. So when Gabriel saw the chance to join in the cooperation between humans and vampires, he leapt at it and held on with both hands. His parents had never quite accepted Vampires and tended to look down their noses at them, so naturally Gabriel felt differently.

Progressing quickly through the ranks, he made it to a well-liked position of intelligence counsel. It basically means he assessed the situations and told people the best way to go about it. This work led him to the love of his life - Elsa-May, his beautiful wife. Gabe was heartbroken when she fell ill three years ago with an epidemic virus and died. He only has his son left out of his family, he stopped contact with the rest of his family some years ago.

When he was 28, and his son Riley was just under a year old, the Alliance brought in a child from the streets. Elsa-May and Gabriel volunteered to look after her and protect her, knowing full well what her heritage was and what would happen should they find out she existed. Danysia grew up as part of their family, but Gabe and Elsa could never understand why she didn't feel like it. It seems she perhaps rejected the life that was given to her. Gabriel loves her as if she were his own daughter, but she never seems to return the love.
