Alexzander Báthory is an incredibly ambitious vampire. He's never content with where he is, not until he's right at the top. Anything that stands in his way ... doesn't stand in his way for much longer. Fifteen years ago, he fell into the charms of a human woman. It was just for a night, but the consequences have become dire. She had his child, a hybrid baby: part human, part vampire. Now Alexzander has fought to keep the child concealed from his coven, lest they realise and strip his position of power from him.

Her existence is the one thing that fires Alexzander's blood and makes it boil. If she were to be discovered, it would mean the end for him. The for everything he'd ever worked for, and that fills him with a bitterness that renders him incapable of holding any place in his heart for her. She's a lot older now, and Alex has crossed paths with his daughter a grand total of three times, all of which were brief passings on the street where he had to refrain from slitting her throat then and there, in broad daylight.

Apart from this dirty little secret that must be hidden at all costs, Alexzander is renowned throughout the Báthory coven as a great leader, with logic comparable to no other and decision-making skills to rival the Head. He may not be well liked by many of the vampires, but he is very well respected. Alex uses this respect to his advantage, and has a talent for manipulating people without them even realising it.
